Steps to building a USX Motorized bike:
1. Assemble USX from factory
2. Check tolerances and torques
3. Remove left axle
4. Turn a new right axle on lathe to accept I. D. of Freewheel, (usually a 14-16 tooth)
5. Remove 1-3/4" from axle end.
6. Cut appropriate woodruff slot in axle with mill
7. Cut Key stock and shape as needed
8. Re-install press bearings and new axle
9. Re-install disk calipers and adjust
10. Fabricate rounded feet for engine support and chain adjustment bolts
11. Weld 1/2 inch nut to feet and spot weld 1/2 inch stock to nut.
12. Cut mounting plate for engine bracket from 3/8” angle iron
13. Cut bottom mounting plate from 3/8" stock
14. Use drill press to cut 1 inch hole through top and bottom plates of mounting bracket.
15. Saw slots into both brackets to accommodate C-bracket on USX rear assembly
16. Weld gear box bracket to top mounting bracket at a 7 degree angle to accommodate camber on the USX axle
17. Grind and polish welds
18. Powder coat brackets
19. Attach engine and gear box to mounting plates
20. Powder coat support feet and ½ inch nut
21. Cut support rods from ½ inch stock
22. Mount freewheel to axle and secure with Locktight and spacer shims
23. Cut motorcycle chain to length
24. Install appropriate gear on engine drive shaft
25. Size and attach chain
26. Install throttle cable and throttle mechanism
27. Braze on throttle retention to Honda bracket
28. Install Kill switch
29. Install front quill and bracket to hold accessories
30. Cut accessory bar to size
31. Mount accessory bar
32. Mount Mirrors
33. Install bike computer
34. Install lights
35. Install rear and front deflectors
36. Add oil to engine
37. Test start and set throttle initial adjustments
38. Test ride - 5 miles
39. Post test ride adjustments and check torques and chain tensions
40. Mount water baskets and bottles
41. Short check ride
42. Add any special accessories
43. Polish and deliver
